Mexico Hybrid Program: Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta
Two-Week Summer Program
Itinerary:
Day 1
Depart from Atlanta, Georgia and arrive in Mexico City, Mexico. Panrimo coordinator will greet group upon arrival with secure transportation from airport to accommodations in Mexico City. Students and faculty will stay in three or four-star hotels in a safe, clean, comfortable part of the city, Colonia Condesa. Colonia Condesa has beautiful parks, large water fountains, and many restaurants.
Day 2
Classes begin. X University faculty is in-charge of lectures, class time, and participation of students. Classes meet in a local university building and all necessary classroom accommodations are provided. The classroom is reserved only for this faulty-led program, and is available from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night. If host families are selected, students may come and go as they please at any hour. Similarly is said for hotel accommodations.
Day 3
Classes continue. The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night.
Day 4
The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night.
Day 5
The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night.
Day 6
The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night. Panrimo coordinates afternoon tour of the Mexican capital, monuments, and lunch with a State senator.
Day 7
Events are at the discretion of faculty. If excursions throughout the city or beyond are desired, Panrimo can utilize its contacts and coordinate those events ahead of time.
Day 8
Depart Mexico City for Puerto Vallarta. Fly with Panrimo coordinator, arriving to Puerto Vallarta in early afternoon. Cultural activities, tour of important monuments, museums, cathedrals included. Housing included.
Day 9
Classes begin. X University faculty is in charge of lectures and class time, and participation of students. Classes will meet in a local university building with necessary classroom accommodations. The classroom is reserved only for this faulty-led program 3 hours per day Monday to Friday. The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty. Students return to housing at night. If host families are selected, students may come and go as they please at any hour. Similarly is said for hotel accommodations.
Days 10-14
Classes continue. The afternoon and evening events are at the discretion of X University faculty.Panrimo coordinator is utilized for social immersion activities. Students return to housing at night.
Day 15
Depart Puerto Vallarta for Mexico City, flying with Panrimo coordinator. Board plane for Atlanta, Georgia. Arrive in evening in Atlanta.
Included in the above program are the following:
- Logistical planning and arrangements for two weeks in Mexico
- On site Panrimo coordinator available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Airport meet-and-greet and pick-up upon arrival in Mexico City
- Personal transportation with Panrimo coordinator to accommodations
- Accommodations with pre-interviewed host families and/or hotels in safe, clean, respectable areas
- Classroom space in Mexico City in nearby building, equipped with ample chairs, desks, light, and writing board for morning lectures
- Transportation to Puerto Vallarta
- Transportation to Mexico City to Puerto Vallarta with Panrimo coordinator
- Classroom space in Puerto Vallarta in nearby building, equipped with ample chairs, desks, light, and writing board for morning lectures
- Transportation to airport in Puerto Vallarta for return to Mexico City airport
- Transportation for return trip to Atlanta, Georgia.
Cost:
A minimum of 8 students is needed for this faculty-led program to occur. If U.S. university pays Panrimo the stated amount per student, one faculty member’s accommodations and transportation within Mexico is included.
8-10 students + faculty member + Panrimo Coordinator
Total Program Cost: $1790 per student
11-14 students + faculty member + Panrimo Coordinator
Total Program Cost: $1690 per student
15-19 students + faculty member + Panrimo Coordinator
Total Program Cost: $1590 per student
