Studying abroad is studying in a different country for a month, summer, semester or academic year at an accredited university. Interning abroad is using learned theories and skills and applying them to real life work in your field, but in a different country.

Why study or intern abroad? Immersed in a new culture, you’ll understand it and its people’s habits and quirks; you’ll see and appreciate a totally different way of life. Being abroad for a reason, not just for the sake of going, is attractive to future employers and colleagues.

The question then isn’t, What is studying or interning abroad? Rather it’s, Where are you going?
