Why should I choose Panrimo over all the other options out there?
Participating in a Panrimo Program means more than paying and being a spectator. You are involved from the very beginning, and have control over what your program offers an what you’ll get out of it. Where other program providers offer set prices and a one-size-fits-all package, Panrimo puts you in control. You choose what assistance and amenities you need and we provide them. You’re then able to customize your trip and price, leaving us to take care of the big or small pieces depending on your need.
What if I only speak English?
That’s just fine. All our locations offer an array of courses in English. If your more into math and science and less into humanities there’s information technology and architecture classes in English. Don’t let a lack of language skills keep you from seeing the world. Panrimo offers courses in all subjects, the majority taught in English.
Will going abroad delay my graduation?
Not if you plan ahead, and the Panrimo staff can help you do that. Choose your overseas courses wisely so classes transfer easily. You can do this by choosing your Panrimo Program and printing course descriptions for your advisors to review and compare to courses offered at your college.
Study abroad’s cool, but I want practical work experience. What can Panrimo offer in volunteering or internships?
Panrimo offers volunteer and internships abroad at all of its locations. As we add more locations throughout the world, we’ll be adding more opportunities outside of the classroom. For those interested in such opportunities, please visit our Volunteer and Internship pages for each location, or write to info@panrimo.com and we’ll build you a tailored program.
When should I apply to go on a Panrimo program?
Immediately! There is no time like the present to commit to such an endeavor. Though there are cut-off dates for when Panrimo must stop accepting applications, securing your spot now before the classroom fills up is recommended.
How can I pay for my Panrimo Program?
There are several options to accommodate paying for your program. Panrimo accepts all approved grants, scholarships, and loans from colleges and government entities. Though check, money order, and major credit cards are accepted, Panrimo recommends using PayPal service. It is safe, secure, reliable, fast, and easy.
Can I apply school, government, or private loans and grants to my Panrimo Program?
Absolutely! Contact your study abroad office and financial aid office for necessary paperwork.
How is Panrimo so inexpensive while everyone else is costly?
Because Panrimo gives you options. After our directors negotiate the lowest tuition, volunteer, and research price with institutions abroad, we give students the options to add or not add the amenities that most other program providers automatically included.
Many study abroad organizations have excursions included in the program price. It gets costly for the student because they are planning all of your trips and there is a lot of overhead involved. We know you would rather travel with your own friends, go where you want, see what you want to see, and be free from the field trips. That’s the main reason we can send you abroad for less. And of course we negotiate the lowest tuition prices with foreign universities, and pass on the savings to you.
Can I apply school, government, or private loans and grants to my Panrimo Program?
Absolutely! Contact your study abroad office and financial aid office for necessary paperwork.
Does Panrimo offer scholarships?
Yes we do. In fact, Panrimo is offering over $10,000 in scholarships for students accepted to our 2009 programs. Click here for more information.
What are these Onsite Emergency Support Contacts?
Panrimo’s Emergency Support Contacts abroad are available 24/7 for each student. The Emergency Contact meets the student upon arrival abroad, and is available on an as-needed basis, and is always in communication with Panrimo’s headquarters in Michigan. They are locals of the host country and have been interviewed by the Director and staff of Panrimo in the States. Each contact is fluent in English and often associated within his or her country’s higher education system and local community.
Who will be teaching the classes overseas?
All classes are taught my local faculty of the host institution. Often times these professors have experience teaching and communicating ideas to international students. Professors are screened and often hold tenure at the host university. Professors are experts in their field and are eager to engage Panrimo’s students in an educational and open environment.
What if I go abroad but need or want to return to the States?
This scenario is rare. Outside of medical reasons, if a student feels homesick or needs some quality TLC, our overseas staff is there. That’s their job. Use them, but we will do everything we can to make that transition easy for you.
Visas are such a hassle. Can Panrimo take care of it for me?
Visa and government paperwork application assistance is available in two of Panrimo’s options. Our expert staff in the States communicates with the country’s consulate to ensure speedy approval and delivery of visas.
Will my credits transfer?
Well you’re not enrolling in classes because you like the weight of books in your backpack. Your assigned Panrimo representative acts as an intermediary between you, your study abroad office, and the host university. We guide you through the hoops and make the transfer of credit as seamless as possible. Ultimately it is up to your university in the States to grant credit transfer, and your Panrimo representative helps to make it happen.
