Prague: Summer 8-Weeks 2012

A Day in the Life in Prague

Wake up. Sun shines over Astronomical Clock Tower and through your Prague apartment. Ride subway to 9 a.m. class. Stimulating lectures, discussions with international students. Eat goulash and garlic soup at Café Kaab. Quick tram ride to Petrin Hill. Panoramic city views while reading Eastern European lit with Panroamers. Night falls. Saxes whaling at Ungelt Jazz and Blues Club. It’s only Tuesday. Could do this all week.

Downtown Prague has many apartments, small businesses and large corporations, shops and theaters, music halls and museums, universities and hospitals, and a castle. Its population is 1.2 million in the city, making it comfortable and quick to get accustomed to while offering a bustling workday atmosphere and nightlife.

It’s difficult to divide Prague into recognizable neighborhoods; you just sort of fall into them, one after another. Enter Old Town with friends after class for a traditional Czech lunch deep in the cellar of a pub. Ride the metro and jump off in Vinohrady, a neighborhood full of parks and hills formerly used by vineyards. And climb the hill at Vysehrad for a nightcap of beer brewed by monks since 1140.

There’s a part of Prague easily accessible for all Panroamers, and we’ll help you scout out your niche.
